Our Story

Over 50 Years of Faith, Sacrifice, and Community

Masjid Al-Jami Ar-Rasheed is one of the oldest Muslim American communities in Charleston County. From humble beginnings to our current home on Hugo Avenue, our journey is a testament to perseverance, unity, and unwavering faith.

Indeed, this community was established upon righteousness and piety from the first day. It is more worthy that you stand within it. In it are men who love to purify themselves; and Allah loves those who purify themselves.

— At-Tawbah (9:108)
